Coastal & Deltaic Geologic Evaluations
Understanding how regional coastal habitats evolve over geologic timescales allows for comparison and isolation of environmental stressors related to project needs over modern timescales, such as land loss related to changes in sediment supply, rates of sea-level rise, and subsidence. Applied Coastal personnel have extensive background and experience using sedimentologic and geophysical data to develop geological models for various types of coastal and marine environments. We leverage data from scientific literature, academic, and federal sources with strategic data collection to achieve client objectives in a cost-effective manner. Prior projects have been carried out in a wide range of deltaic, glacial, and coastal plain settings along the Gulf and East Coasts.
